1. 5/8 - Panorama of Leicester Square. I probably walked within a block past this place 6 times since being in London before I actually stumbled into it. It’s like the times square of England. I mostly know if it from Wayne’s World 2. So many lights and so little to really do here besides buy crap on the street with a Union Jack on it.

  3. 5/6 - This guy INSISTED that I take his picture. He was from the middle of Africa somewhere but he sounded Jamaican. Or maybe it was the other way around. He talked politics to me for 10 minutes and then walked off 3 steps, then he came back, talked another 4 mins, walked off 3 steps, came back and talked another couple minutes… this happened a couple more times.
He had a lot of nothing to say…we’ll miss him.

  4. 5/5 - Mmmm, Modelo. We searched all of London to find proper Mexico for CINCO DE MAYO and it was hiding right at the bottom of Mornington Crescent.
Mestizo is pretty decent as far as Mexican food. It was certainly good for London, but in LA it wouldn’t hold a candle to most taco stands. On the good side they had a foursquare check-in special so we got a free Margarita (tiny one) but it was kinda pricey for Mexican and at the beginning of the meal we were starving and they brought out a TINY plate of chips (about 12 chips total?) and a little ramekin of salsa verde. WTF, London? I know your portions are small but you could at least bring us a basket of chips.
I still consider it a successful Cinco. We made do.
