5/6 - Family Dinner pt II: Holy shit Dan can cook. The two best meals I had in England were both here. Of course we made the girls do the dishes while the boys watched football.

My name is t.j. and I'm on an odyssey. Come with me.

5/5 - Mmmm, Modelo. We searched all of London to find proper Mexico for CINCO DE MAYO and it was hiding right at the bottom of Mornington Crescent.
Mestizo is pretty decent as far as Mexican food. It was certainly good for London, but in LA it wouldn’t hold a candle to most taco stands. On the good side they had a foursquare check-in special so we got a free Margarita (tiny one) but it was kinda pricey for Mexican and at the beginning of the meal we were starving and they brought out a TINY plate of chips (about 12 chips total?) and a little ramekin of salsa verde. WTF, London? I know your portions are small but you could at least bring us a basket of chips.
I still consider it a successful Cinco. We made do.
4/29 - Not only did Daniel McGarry play a great show and drive all the way back from Glasgow straight through to London after our gig at PIVO PIVO, but he also made an AMAZING dinner for everyone the next evening.
We immediately went into a coma. The two meals Dan made are still the best ones I’ve had in England.
Burger King doesn’t have the crossan’wich in the UK. They just use a bun.
— Savages.
4/28 - And just what do you suppose was my #1 culinary goal whilst in Scotland? HAGGIS OF COURSE!
But this is fried haggis and not the stuff coming out of squishy guts. It was really salty but pretty fucking delicious. I only at one of these huge pucks and saved the other half for the ride back to England that night after the gig…
…but some filthy cunt ate it. I offered ALL of the fries as sacrifice and dreamed about that 2nd puck of sheep guts the whole show. Whomever was responsible for this trespass will pay dearly.

4/23 - TJ’s Burgers, Kebabs and Pizza
It should be noted my name is TJ. Yeah i’d like to add that I’ve never had a Lamburger before…and can’t really recommend it.
Also, they call the lettuce on the burger …salad. And the people serving me were likely from India, but in England they just call them “Asian” whereas in America “Asians” are from far East Asia… most Americans would call Indians “Arabs” not because they’re all that bigoted, just because they don’t know the difference.
4/21 - This is what’s known as a “proper English fry up”: Eggs, Ham, Hash Brown (tri-tater), tomato (to-mah-to not to-may-to), black pudding (bloody yum), chips, beans, sausage, fried bread and coffee (Nescafe, drip coffee is a rarity). All this madness for only £5.55
