  2. 6/2 - In the 4 years since I last saw Stevie, he learned himself to play the banjo! Out on the town he brought it with him and decided to serenade this guy taking a little nappy-nap snoozy time outside of Duffy’s Tavern.

  3. 6/2 - Arrived in Magalia, CA (about 15 mins from Chico) late on 6/1 and my iPhone was frozen and a red light was blinking on it (Red Ring of Death?!) so I couldn’t call my friend Stevie I was supposed to be staying with/parking in front of his place. I had the address but couldn’t see the house numbers so I just slept in the van. The hills, the rain…easily the most relaxing nights sleep. The next day we walked around downtown Chico and on the campus at Chico State they apparently have this statue of Maynard James Keenan from Tool. How about that?

  4. 6/4 - Had a great time in Chico hanging with my oldest friend in the world, Stevie. We swapped songs and had some good acoustic jams up in the mountains. He taught me a thing or 3 about the ukulele and for that I am quite thankful! We seem to cross paths every 3 years or so like clockwork but I’m guessing I’ll see him sooner than later next time. Damn, just occurred to me that we didn’t get a picture together. Leaving Chico tomorrow for Eugene, Oregon or perhaps somewhere in between. Is there somewhere in between besides Weed, CA?
